When is Startup Extreme?

Startup Extreme is a two-day startup event from the 26th of April, 2023 to the 27th of April, 2023. You should book your stay from April 26th-28th .

Where is Startup Extreme 2023?

Startup Extreme 2023 will be returning to Hemsedal, Norway - the alps of Scandinavia.

Hemsedal offers a variety of activities, as well as the best skiing opportunities in Norway during Spring.

How do I get to Hemsedal?

Where can I claim my attendee badge (registration)?

Depending on when you arrive in Hemsedal, we have several registration desks available for you:

Wednesday, April 26th
Registration Desk @ Hemsedal Suites from 09.00-16.00
Registration Desk @ Skistua (Offical Opening Show) from 15:00-18.00
Registration Desk @ Stavkroa from 18.00-20.00

If you are attending any of the Pre-events it is possible to register there as well.

If the event is already underway, you can claim your attendee badge at the Startup Extreme Info Desk @ Stavkroa.

Do I need to book my own accommodation? If yes, where, how, etc?

Yes, you will have to book your own accommodation. You can find all information around different accommodation options on our Accommodations page. We have negotiated great prices for you!

What to bring

Is there a dress code for the event?

There is no official dress-code for Startup Extreme.

However, an all-weather jacket (Allværsjakke) is highly recommended as it caters for all the weather conditions you are likely to experience at Startup Extreme.

How does transportation work from Hemsedal city-centre to the venue?

Do you offer food, is it included, and do you cater to any dietary preferences?

• Breakfast is organized by the attendee themselves - and is available through several accommodation options.
• Lunch on Thursday is included in selected activities, and there will be snacks available at Stavkroa from 13.00.
• Dinner on Wednesday: BBQ @ Skistua is included in the ticket price.
• Dinner on Thursday: is included in the standard ticket price. Early-bird and mid-season ticket holders need to purchase this for an additional 650,-

Health & safety

Do I need insurance?

IMPORTANT: Getting accepted into Startup Extreme requires you to have insurance to take part in the extreme sport activities.

Startup Extreme takes NO liability for any injuries occurred during Startup Extreme 2023.

Tickets

Which of the ticket types should I buy?

There are three available ticket types: Startup, Investor, and Attendee.

Startup Tickets: Our Startup ticket is tailored for young, often tech-driven, companies aiming for rapid growth with a scalable business model. We go through each registration to ensure that you are in fact a startup. Once your registration has been accepted, you can buy your Startup ticket. Please remember that each team member needs their own ticket to attend.

Investor Tickets: The Investor ticket is for investors who make direct investments in startups or venture capital funds – VCs, CVCs, Angels, LPs and M&A Investors.
‍
General Attendee Tickets: If you are neither an investor, nor a startup, you may take part in Startup Extreme as a general attendee. This applies to typically corporates, public sector, communities, students and others.

Do I need to print my ticket?

No, you do not need a printed copy to be admitted into Startup Extreme. However, make sure you have the digital copy easily available on your phone or tablet to be accepted into the venue.

What is Startup Extreme’s refund policy?

You can find all ticket terms and conditions at www.startupextreme.co/terms-conditions.
We have a 30-days refund policy, where tickets can be refunded no questions asked 30 days after they are booked in CheckIn. This applies until February 21st 2023. After that no refunds will be given.

Bought ticket: 01.10.2022 - 21.02.2023 - you have 30 days refund
Bought ticket 21.02.2023 - 26.04.2023 - no refund

I cannot attend, can I transfer my ticket to someone else?

Yes, in the event that you are not able to attend, you will be able to transfer your ticket to someone else. Please get in touch at sx@startupnorway.com.

What happens if the event is cancelled?

I cannot access my ticket…what should I do next?

An email confirmation, with your ticket details, should have been sent to you with the email you provided.

If you wish to change any information on your ticket, please search for the following in your email:

Can I buy on behalf of others/my team?

Yes you are able to buy tickets on behalf of others/your team, however we will need information on all of those who will be attending. There is no maximum number in Checkin!
